Murals that Move

Deciding on whether a wall mural is right for your space can sometimes be a daunting one. Its permanence can often be a worry for some companies. Today, I felt is was worth sharing my experience and thoughts on the matter as I was quite impressed as to how versatile some designs can be in a new found environment. This image below is of a wall mural I designed and hand painted at Redbrick House, Bristol. It was created in-line with a previous design on the floor below and featured spray painted tone and hand painted linear work. Recently the building went through major refurbishment and I was a little worried as to how the mural would sit amongst its new found decor. I was impressed! Check out the results.

The mural actually seems more punchy, with more motion and complimentary to the colours used. The original setting was quite sparce with little furniture so I was unsure if the mural would clash with the new environment.

Visualisation created for the proposal.

All in all I think it was a sucessful transition and definately reassures me that the right design can move through the times. Regardless of the rooms function.

A mural piece can take many shapes and forms. Its impact is second to none and creates a great talking point and social media material.
